Originally from Port Chester, New York, guitarist and composer Chris Covney is a graduate of The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London, as well as Lehigh University, where he studied under Vic Juris, Tom Guarna, Gene Perla, Dave Liebman, Terry Plumeri, and Bill Warfield.

He has performed around the country as well as internationally, sharing the stage with Randy Brecker and Don Braden, to name a few.

In pursuit of his passion for the art of improvised music, Chris is based in Providence, Rhode Island, where he is composing, producing, and performing in various contexts. He is currently exploring the many intersections between jazz and electronic music.
